Download , card must be <2GB (I'd reccomend a 512MB card), freshly formated on WinXP as FAT(16). In first step copy only UPD, in 2'nd step copy all other files except UPD. Connect device to an external charger (not to PC!), insert card and start upgrade.

does not work on the first pass locks ... I have a 1.80 gb sd I format in fat and copy the file UDP BUT ON RESTART by reset, the screen shows: nad xx: xx: xx: ....... and nothing more ..

You missed the point: all files from upgrade package must be on card but it matters how you copy them on card.
1.format card => on Win XP or by using "HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool" (free)
2.copy only UPD file
3. copy all the other files from package => now you have all files from package in the root of your SD
4.conect device to charger, insert card and swith it ON

nothing to do:

1.format card using "HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool"
2.copy only UPD file
2.1 I insert the sd reset button gps and "not charger from the electrical outlet"

Am I speaking chinese or what? Get from the official upgrade procedure and follow the instructions.
